How do we ensure transparency in the development of our standards?

ICoE ensures transparency in the development of our standards through a seven-stage open process

Rightly stated in the Addis Ababa Action Agenda that transparency and accountability are important to increase the impact of public and private cooperation, the ICoE ensures transparency in the development of our standards through a seven-stage open process. It entails the following:

  1. Project initiation by the intergovernmental process
  2. Stakeholders' mobilization to prepare the first draft of the standard
  3. Developing the initial draft with stakeholders’ feedback
  4. 60 days' public review
  5. Endorsement by the Working Party on PPP Bureau and the Working Party on PPP
  6. Approval by CECI
  7. Maintenance of standards

Good governance principles

Furthermore, good governance principles are crucial in order to achieve the goals of the ICoE. The ICoE needs to be governed according to best practice. Accordingly, the Bureau of the WP PPP, which is also the Governing Body of the ICoE, has prepared a set of principles under which the Centre will operate.
